Performance im öffentlichen Raum und Installation im Atelierhaus Baumstraße, 2024

Drei Künstler*innen reisen mit einer mobilen Schmelzwerkstatt an die Dorfplätze ihrer Kindheit. Zwischen Gesprächen über erste Küsse und zerflossene Lieben verwandeln sich diese Orte in temporäre Werkstätten der Erinnerung. Was bedeutet es, Zuhause zu sein? Warum ist die Verwurzelung so anfällig für die Vereinnahmung durch rechte Ideologien? Im Austausch mit Besucher*innen drücken wir Spuren, Fundstücke und Geschichten in den Formsand. Flüssiges Aluminium aus alten Fahrrädern und Markisen erstarrt zu neuen Wurzeln aus Metall. Aus ihnen entsteht eine installative Landschaft, verborgen unter einer großen Spitzendecke. Nur liegend auf einem Rollbrett lässt sich ihr Inneres erkunden.

Performance in public space and installation at Studio Baumstraße, 2024

Three artists travel to the village squares of their childhood with a mobile foundry. Amid conversations about first kisses and lost loves, these places transform into temporary workshops of memory. What does it mean to be at home? Why is a sense of belonging so vulnerable to co-optation by right-wing ideologies? In dialogue with visitors, we press traces, found objects, and stories into molding sand. We melt down old sunshades and bicycles, and the liquid aluminium solidifies into new roots of metal. Hanging from the ceiling, they later emerge as a landscape, hidden beneath a large lace canopy. Its interior can only be explored while lying on a workshop trolley.
